尔时王舍城中，有菩萨摩诃萨名曰信相，已曾供养过去无量亿那由他百千诸佛，种诸善根。是信相菩萨作是思惟：何因何缘，释迦如来寿命短促方八十年。<\/p>\n\n\n\n

复更念言：如佛所说，有二因缘寿命得长。何等为二。一者不杀、二者施食。而我世尊，于无量百千亿那由他阿僧祇劫，修不杀戒、具足十善，饮食惠施不可限量，乃至己身骨髓肉血，充足饱满饥饿众生，况馀饮食。<\/p>\n\n\n\n

尔时四佛，以正遍知告信相菩萨：善男子！汝今不应思量如来寿命短促。何以故。善男子！我等不见诸天、世人、魔众、梵众、沙门、婆罗门、人及非人，有能思算如来寿量知其齐限，唯除如来。<\/p>\n\n\n\n

时四如来，将欲宣畅释迦文佛所得寿命，欲色界天、诸龙鬼神、乾闼婆、阿脩罗、迦楼罗、紧那罗、摩睺罗伽，及无量百千亿那由他菩萨摩诃萨，以佛神力悉来聚集信相菩萨摩诃萨室。<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
